What is the CER?
The Clubman Estate Register was set up by Liz in 2003 mainly to satisfy her own curiosity at first. She felt there was no recogntion for the humble Mini Clubman Estate and thought it would be a good idea to set up a club solely for them.

At first Liz set out to 'spot' as many CEs as she could and drum up some interest in the CER mainly by flyering and a rather direct approach to the owners at Mini shows

As a result there are now over 300 Clubman Estates from all over the world on the register, and an active exboard discussion forum - see CER forum

We attend as many Mini shows as we can, so look out for the club banner. Or even better you could join us and have your own clubby estate displayed on a stand It doesn't have to be concourse standard or in pristine condition, the main thing is that it is a CE and it is still around!

The CER caters for Clubman Estates produced between 1969 and 1982, this includes the Mini HL Estate which was made by Austin-Rover towards the end of the production run. The *new* MINI Clubman intended for release by BMW will not be catered for

What do I get when I register my Clubman Estate?
Mainly a healthy glow of satisfaction to know that you are doing your bit in keeping the clubby estate alive!

Seriously, there is no membership fee and no committee so there isn't a membership pack or anything like that. You will have the chance to buy CER stickers plus T-Shirts and fleeces to keep you warm and stylish!
Where is the CER based
Everywhere!
We are an internet based club, so there are no regular meetings. Most active members get to 'speak' to each other regularly via the forum, but the only other times we meet tend to be at Mini shows.

This means that we have members across the UK. We have friends in other countries too and Clubman Estates have been registered form all over the world!
What is the Thong Run?
Well, the Thong Run is a charity event which is run by the CER and was held for the first time in April 2005. Proceeds were donated to the National Autistic Society - over £1000 was raised

Look out for details of the next Thong Run in 2008 - best place to keep up to date is on the forum.

The name was Allan's idea, let him tell you about it at a show! I wish it had something to do with alcohol but I'm afraid it was more like one diet coke too many
